JINJA – SOURCE OF THE NILE ( FULL DAY TRIP)

Jinja was previously the industrial capital of Uganda. It is best known for the Ripon falls which now lies submerged beneath the Owen Falls Dam but a visit to the legendary spot remains a wonderful experience. Near by are the Bujjagali falls where several rapids are situated close together.

Depart from Kampala at 8.00am heading east to Jinja. You will have a stop over at Ssezibwa falls one of Buganda kingdom’s heritage trails and later at Mabira forest for a short nature walk. Proceed to Jinja onto Bujjagali falls to view the spectacular scenery there. There after you will go to Kingfisher Resort for lunch and later a boat ride to the source of the Nile, for bird lovers this ride will take you to a great many birds. After the boat ride you will depart for Kampala arriving some time in the evening.
